BELIEFS
First & Foremost
To consolidate one's beliefs derived from a bible that consists of 750,000 words is difficult since God used an entire book to convey His message. So in preface to stating our beliefs, we want to stress that this is a summary as we can best state it, not a specific list that God has revealed in His Word.
God's Word
It is true.
John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.

It is from God.
2 Timothy 3:16 Every scripture inspired of God (is) also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness
2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation. For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.

It tells us everything we need to know to live the way God wants us to.
2 Peter 1:3 Seeing that His divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that called us by His own glory and virtue.
It is perfect.
Psalms 19:7 The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul: the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.
It shows us where to go.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path.
It leads us to salvation.
2 Timothy 3:14-15 But abide thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them. And that from a babe thou hast known the sacred writings which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
It facilitates our growth in the Lord.
2 Peter 2:2 As newborn babies, long for the spiritual milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation.
It prepares us for God's work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 Every scripture inspired by God (is) also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.
The Church
Jesus is the head.
Ephesians 1:22-23 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all.
To become a part of the church (His body) you must be united with Him.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ
1 Cor 12:12-13 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.
There is one body.
1 Cor 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.
Ephesians 4:4 (There is) one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling; Jesus is the Savior of the church.
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the church, (being) himself the Savior of the body.
It is His body.
Ephesians 1:22-23 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all.
Jesus gave His life for the church, and cleanses those who want to be a part of it through the water and the word.
Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; that He might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to Himself a glorious (church), not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
The church must continue in the apostle's doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.
Acts 2:41-42 They then received his word were baptized: and there were added (unto them) on that day about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.
